Press Photos for carl creighton
Hey everybody! thanks for visiting! i am a folk / antifolk singer-songwriter from Prior lake, mn initially and then new york city and now sioux falls south dakota. i am making new music and rereleasing previous music. shows.
i’ll be updating here
6/3/26
I still don’t know how to make it so I can capitalize letters. it is forcing me into a style which I guess I have accepted. lower case i’s make it look like i’m talking about myself less.
I have a new album that still has a lot of uncertainty around it. how will i release it? what will it be called? so I need to tell myself via my website that there were a lot of decisions involved in the recording itself and that might not even be done. so not having a name is okay. the current contenders for names are: curtain rings, curtainrings, curtainring, savers, tough times, bags of curtain rings, oh i just don’t know. i’m overdue for a journal entry as we can see as well.
but the songs are:
1.
all great. you can see them below probably. so many songs. 18 songs. the first song is called throw it on the heap and it’s about being a resource for others and then it goes into another song and another.
i’m also rereleasing the old songs as howth. i have howthmusic.com but i don’t know how to make it a website yet. maybe today? i want to be howth not carl. and my name is carl davis crisp now. chewing tooth is going up soon. that’s a good one.

Do you want to be part of the making of savers by howth which is me but in disguise? although this domain is my legal name. it’s all a work in progress, including the album! The only thing I know for certain is that whatever it is on 7/1 on bandcamp is the album. and although i just rereleased trashy milky nothing town as a whole new album, you are going to just have to trust for the time being that what i said about savers is true.
i love savers but it did hurt my ears a couple days ago in some mastering experiments. which has made me lose a little faith in my ability to learn the skill of sound design but still. i am stubbornly continuing on my path and inviting you to joi me as a fan who i’m sure has great taste if you’re here! Go to this link: https://howth.bandcamp.com/yum and type in the code in the image above which is also here: 84qg-ejry
4/5/56 – I didn’t like how the album sounded that it was named carl creighton that the album cover was my face that it wasn’t a howth album only so what i’m doing now is typing on my website about how i remixed it and it is a work in progress still i like what i’ve added since pretending i was coldplay you can preorder savers by howth by clicking on those words not the h though i didn’t hyperlink that
a dear dear friend jonathon passed away, he was a big fan and always said the best nice things. i have been feeling very emotional lately due to this. i don’t like opening up. there are songs on the new album about that
i hope to make this website more appealing

previous press:
“Totally stunning” – Circuit sweet UK
“an artful dodging opportunity of expressionistic, audio impressionism” – Impose magazine
“Truly a songwriter for our times” – The Deli NYC
“There’s a warm intimacy at work in their Fleet Foxes-esque sound, and their latest album Newkirk is a gorgeous example of the quieter side of the Garden State’s music scene.”
– Paste
“These songs that you’re listening to, or are about to listen to, are documents of what happens when there’s nothing standing between us and something like an immeasurable surplus of possibilities. It’s the thought that there might be time unending, that there could be people who never leave you or that you could be surrounded by the most incredible views, that never wash away.”
– Daytrotter
“…beautifully atmospheric…”
– My Old Kentucky Blog
“Howth (rhymes with “growth”) just might be the most likeable indie rock band in Brooklyn.”
– BreakThru Radio
“Howth is a versatile, dynamic act that clearly has a lot of gas left in the tank musically, and has already shown a lot of growth over just two releases.”
– NYC Taper
“It can take you on a drive through the country, it can take you to a peaceful city street at night, it can make you remember feeling in love.”
– The Deli NYC
